About Karen Wyckoff Rein In Sarcoma Foundation
A Minnesota 501(c)(3) nonprofit Foundation (dedicated to finding a cure for sarcoma cancers through research, educating about sarcomas, and supporting sarcoma survivors and their loved ones. KWRISF is a resource for families touched by sarcomas, an uncommon and often lethal group of bone and soft tissue cancers that may strike children and younger adults, leaving an especially tender heartbreak. RIS seeks to fund innovative, collaborative and high-impact research.
The majority of the proceeds of the Foundation are to support the Karen Wyckoff Sarcoma Research Foundation, the primary Sarcoma fund of the University of Minnesota Masonic Cancer Center. The Foundation also supports education of the community and physicians about sarcoma cancers with a particular emphasis on lessening misdiagnoses.
