The X-Pups Project

I started with two abandoned kittens. A brother and sister left behind when their family moved. Too young to survive on their own. A little over a year later my home was being run by those two cats and their four sisters and one brother. Three pups from shelters. One pup left at the vet when his medical expenses were too much. One pup being given away after his owner became pregnant. It was Heaven. Seeing their smiling faces and knowing they wouldn't have to suffer again made me so happy. It also made me so very sad thinking of all the other unwanted animals that would never get the chance at a forever home. I met an amazing couple who had their own rescue and were working on the incredible dream of making the shelter in our city a no kill facility. With their help I started to foster. I am hoping one day to open my own sanctuary for unwanted elderly dogs and cats. Until then I would like to become more involved in fostering and fundraising. I am currently looking for a larger home and am also starting the paperwork to become a non- profit organization. The money I'm hoping to raise here will be used for cages, crates, kennels, a pet scale and a few food containers. This is only a start, but it's what I'm finding I need most in fostering and when volunteering at adoption events. Thanks for taking the time to hear my plea. Your support is everything to me.
