13 Hands Equine Rescue

We rescue equines (horses, mules, donkeys) from abuse and abandonment and help them heal in hopes of finding a new family to adopt and love them. Some of our rescues also join forces with us to help veterans and others suffering from PTSD, anxiety, depression and more. Our equine therapy programs are really special - and tailored to your needs. Whether you need treatment, or just need to spend time bonding with a horse. We also work with children and others with disabilities and other issues that horses have shown to help. With over 200 acres in New York’s beautiful Hudson Valley, we help as many animals as possible. While equines are our main purpose, we also have goats, dogs, cats, rabbits, etc. It’s hard to turn down an animal in need! It’s a very special place. We also run workshops with room to sleep 5-7 couples on-site. Can you imagine waking up with views of horses from every window?
