Midwest Parent Educators

In the fall of 1986, a group of 17 homeschool families gathered in the Kansas City area to provide encouragement and fellowship for one another. This was the beginning of the Johnson County Parent Educators (JCPE), now Midwest Parent Educators (MPE). Today we serve thousands of families every year through our events (conference and curriculum fairs, used curriculum sales, high school graduation ceremonies, and more), along with special discounts and resources to homeschoolers in the Midwest. We are committed to protect the right and duty of parents in fulfilling the Biblical mandate to teach their children in a manner that will honor God. While this corporation is consistently and forthrightly Christian, we, at the same time, seek the above rights for all creeds. We support children and families in the Kansas City homeschool community through: -Hosting events such as a Homeschool Conference & Curriculum Fair, Women’s Encouragement Day, High School Graduation Ceremony, and Used Curriculum Sale. -Giving scholarships to low-income and single-parent families. -Supporting CHECK, a Kansas state homeschool organization that furthers the interests of private home education by advocating for home education in Topeka. -Providing educational assistance and free resources to families. -Sharing homeschool news through email newsletters, social media, and media relations with different KC-area media outlets.
