HarpSeals.org

Harpseals.org is a non-profit organization that works to end the slaughter of harp seal pups in Canada. Tens of thousands of seal pups are cruelly killed each year for their fur. Many nations have banned imports of seal products because the killing is brutal and unnecessary. The killing has decreased as a result but continues and must be stopped. Harpseals.org also is working to end the massacre of Cape fur seals in Namibia. Each year, about 80,000 nursing seal pups are killed in their breeding colonies by a small number of clubbers. In addition to being terribly cruel, this massacre is having serious consequences for the species, which has also faced multiple die-offs from lack of prey.
