4k for Cancer

Through the Ulman Cancer Fund and with the money our riders fundraise we are able to direct support services to young adults battling cancer through patient navigation programs, peer mentoring programs, and college scholarships. We also give each of our riders the opportunity to participate in a number of service events throughout the summer. These events vary from ride to ride. Some examples of past service opportunities are: presenting patients in cancer care centers with chemo care bags, cooking dinner for patients staying in Hope Lodges, and presenting scholarships. Over the past decade we have learned that it is very inspiring to ride across the country while dedicating our ride to family members, friends, and individuals we have met along the way who have either been impacted by cancer, or are fighting cancer themselves. We draw parallels between the physical, mental, and emotional struggles of cancer patients and families affected by cancer that we meet over the course of our trip across the United States. If we are able to inspire and brighten their day in the slights, we feel like we have contributed to the fight against cancer. The money raised by our riders goes toward supporting the efforts and initiatives of the Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults.
