About Cancer Athletics
Cancer Athletics NYC-metro area org promoting athleticism for cancer patients and survivors in a team based professionally coached environment with focus on the individual. From yoga to endurance events including walking, swimming, weight training, spin classes, aerobics, tennis, rock climbing and hula hooping and more. Services are free to patients and survivors. All levels of athleticism are accepted. The goal of Cancer Athletics is to ease suffering during and after cancer treatment through athleticism. Members are teammates and spokespersons and have competed in athletic events including Ironman, marathons, 1/2 marathons, triathlons, 5k's, and more. We have worked with The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, American Cancer Society, Team-In-Training, The Lance Armstrong Foundation, Stupid Cancer, Planet Cancer, Weekend of Hope, et. al.. Donations of any size are welcome at paypal.com email address [email protected]. Donations in the form of airline & hotel points also accepted.
