Our Vision: "A World without Cancer and other Preventable Disease" Our Missions: I. CAPPED will be the organization responsible for changing health care from critical care medicine to preventive medicine in New Mexico. II. To make New Mexico #1 in the nation in the primary prevention of cancer by educating and empowering our people. CAPPED's daily operations include providing a walk-in support center for cancer patients and their loved ones. (M-F 11-5). Programs include: PRIMARY CANCER & DISEASE PREVENTION PROGRAMS/SERVICES: * Children's Sun Safe Programs in Elementary Schools * Community Health Education Programs, Fairs, Exhibits * Center for Integrative Health Care * Whole Foods Nutrition Cooking Classes SECONDARY CANCER PREVENTION PROGRAMS / SERVICES: * Helping individuals and their loved ones to navigate the cancer journey through education, advocacy, shared resources and one to one support. SUPPORT SERVICES: * Walk-in Service Center * Advocacy * Angel Flight Registration * Cancer Information Pamphlet Centers * Casen Therapy Dolls * Computer Learning Center / Library * One to One Peer Support and Cancer Matching
